Have patience with everything unresolved in your heart and to try to love the questions themselves as if they were locked rooms or books written in a very foreign language. Don’t search for the answers, which could not be given to you now, because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps then, someday far in the future, you will gradually, without even noticing it, live your way into the answer. —Rainer Maria Rilke

Frightening. Try translating the Bible, for instance.

I think this was my favorite part:
There was like, you know, a dork sent from Gawd, whose name [was] John. The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all [men] through him might believe.
Like, he was like, you know, not that Light, but [was sent] to bear witness of that Light.
[That] was like, you know, the true Light, which lighteth every dork that cometh into the world.
I said to my roommate, "I want to be a dork sent from God!" and she answered me. "Have you thought of the possibility that you are indeed already one?" :)
Getting boring? Not yet.
Peace

I liked this sequence of emphatic repetition:
13 Like, duh! You shall not murder.
14 Like, duh! You shall not commit adultery.
15 Like, duh! You shall not steal.
16 Like, duh! You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
17 Like, duh! You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife or his stud servant or his Valley Girl servant or his ox or his donkey or anything that belongs to your neighbor.
How 'bout the BCP?
It is totally right, and a bitchin' and joyful thing, always and every-
where to give thanks to you, Father Almighty, Creator of
heaven and earth.
